KENNETH D. MARTIN passed away on December 21, 2002 of cancer. Ken was born on May 14, 1915 near Bloomington, Indiana and was raised near Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preceded in death by his wife Pauline E. Martin in 1994. He moved to Houston in 1952 and lived in the Spring Branch area of Houston for 29 years. In 1958, Ken was President and founder of Alloy Weld Supply Company that later merged with Industrial Welding & Equipment. He continued to serve as President of Alloy Weld until 1980. In 1983 he retired to Riverside, Texas near Huntsville. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Huntsville, TX. Served as Past Master for Joe Werner Lodge 553. A member of the Scottish Rite Freemasonry and a Shriner. Survivors are his wife Ellie, Daughters: Sondra Lucas of Sun City, AZ., Pam Killgore and husband Hugh, of Houston. Kay Davis and husband Patrick of Houston. Grandchildren: Blake Rochette, Dawn Lucas, Greg Lucas, and Katy Killgore Pali. 6 great grandchildren. Survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers all residing in Indiana: Pauline Young, Imogene Dean, Ruby Rhodes, Shirley Husband, Pete Martin and Larry Martin. Visitation will be held from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2002 at Huntsville Funeral Home. Funeral Services are set for 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2002 at the Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reagan Cooksey officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Huntsville, Tx. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 6977 Main, Houston, Tx 77030 (Attention Donations) or the charity of your choice.
