Pasquale Michael "Pat" Pellecchia, 85, of Belleville, Mich., passed away peacefully Sunday, May 22, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 2, 1925, in McKeesport, son of the late Pietro-Antonio and Elena (Porreta) Pellecchia. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville, since 1965, where he was in the choir for many years. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a life member of the Romulus VFW Post and DAV. He competed on behalf of the Romulus VFW pool league, where he played for many years. He also played semi-professional football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a true family man who involved himself in all his children's activities and sporting events, ensuring his role as their number one fan. His most valued moments were amongst his large Italian family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Patrick Michael, in 1984; also five siblings. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Belleville, with full military honors.
