HOOKEY, G Joel - It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Joel on Sunday, July 18, 2010. A great Dad, devoted husband and dedicated friend. To Joel, family was his passion. He loved to golf and was a member of the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club. He was a dedicated member of the Ontario Provincial Police for 10 years, where he was affectionately known as "Hollywood Hookey". Loving husband and best friend of Marnie (VandenBroek). Treasured father of Landen and Coehan. Cherished son of Gregory and Tina Hookey and son-in-law of Marten and Linda VandenBroek. Dear brother of Gina Hookey and brother-in-law to Brent VandenBroek. Loved uncle of Brittney (Nick). Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at TEMPLE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1410 Quinn Dr., Sarnia. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
