Doris M. Ayo passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the age of 90. She was the beloved wife of Earl J. Ayo for 70 years. She was a native of Taft, and a resident of Slidell for the last 7 years. She was the daughter of the late Bertha Brady Champagne and Paul Champagne. She is survived by her two children, Kathy Comeaux and Leroy Ayo, a son in law, Clyde F. Comeaux, a daughter in law, Linda B. Ayo, her six grandchildren Marty, Melanie, Mandy, C.J., Chad, and Chris, as well as 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
