ROCKY MOUNT- Eva Boddie Batts, 75, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1994.
She was born March 7, 1918 in Edgecombe County to the late Lossie and Frank Boddie.
She is survived by three grand-children: Jacqueline Batts Sam-mons, Donald Batts both of Rocky Mount, Ray Batts of Sharpsburg; foster son, Harold Barnes of Baltimore, Md.; one great grand-son, Aaron Sammons of Rocky Mount; daughter-in-law, Ethel Batts of Rocky Mount; five sisters, Arlivia Cherry, Ella M. Parker, Mary E. Batts, Rachel B. Wiggins, Vernell Boddie, all of Rocky Mount; brother, Frank Boddie, Jr. of Baltimore, Md.
Funeral services 2 p.m. Tuesday at Olive Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Williams officiat-ing. Burial will follow in the Boddie Family Cemetery, Nash County.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Hunter Odom Funeral Service. Other times at 412 Suburb Street.
