JAMES SUGGS SERVICES HELD
Funeral services for James Vernon Suggs, 85, of Bellaire were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 22, from the Sage Road Chapel of George H. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes with the Rev. Bryan Rose and the Rev. Charley Tischer officiating.

Burial was in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Billy Witsie, Claude Montgomery Jr., Robert Weaver, Cam Leonard, Ben Duffie and Elle Giries.

Mr. Suggs passed away on December 20. A native of Bell County, he had lived in Bellaire for 55 years where he owned Suggs Roofing company and was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints.

He married the former Exah Dodson of Hearne and they lived here for 10 years and with borth of their daughters being born in Hearne. Mrs. Suggs, the sister of Mrs. J. S. Wilson and Mrs. A. L. Springfield of Hearne, succumbed on September 16, 1973.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Weaver of Houston and Mrs. Sybil Turner of Dallas; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
