Born in Attica on May 23, 1917, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Lilly M. Barfell Idle.
Her first marriage was to Elmer Beers, and they later divorced. She married Clarence M. Cook on July 6, 1959, in Stringtown, Ill., and he died Dec. 25, 2001.
Mrs. Cook worked for Consolidated Industries for 27 years, retiring in 1979. She was also a Watkins Products dealer from 1981 to 2001. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, shopping and antiques.
Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Bushman (husband: Robert L.) of West Lafayette and Judith A. Emery (husband: William) of Lafayette.
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Preceded in death by 3 sons, E. David Beers Jr., Harold Beers and Robert Beers; a sister, Geneva Hockstra; and 2 brothers, Lawrence and George Idle.
Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
