Aged 37 years, 3 months, 19 days∼Henry Macon Dunwoody served in the C.S.A. and was killed at the "Battle of Gettysburg," Gettysburg, Adams Co., Pennsylvania.
Son of John and Jane (Bulloch) Dunwoody∼Fought for the Confederacy during the American Civil War where he served as a Captain in A Company in the 51st Georgia Infantry Regiment, before being promoted to Major following the Battle of Chancellorsville in May of 1863.
Major Dunwoody was killed during the Battle of Gettysburg during the engagement in the Wheatfield on July 2nd.
