Another Old Settler Gone
The sad news of the death of Mrs. Eliza V. Sweet of Sauk Rapids reached here yesterday. Mrs. Sweet was one of the early settlers of the states; she was the daughter of the late Col. Charles H. Oakes of St. Paul, and the wife of George W. Sweet, a prominent attorney who died two years since at Havre, Montana. She was seventy-eight years of age and leaves four children to mourn her death, namely; David Sweet and Mrs. C. Coleman, both of Montana, Mrs. Potter of Sauk Rapids, and Arthur Sweet of this place.
