They own a great portion of the land in this area and it is directly heired from Cyprien Duhon who settled here near the Lake and acquired a vast amount of land. His grandfather, Cyprien Duon (no 'h' at that time) was born in France and immigrated to Nova Scotia. Eventually, his grandson Cyprien Duhon then settled here in SWLA. The Duhon and Granger family has connections dating back to Cyprien's (the grandfather) days in France. The two families continue to occupy land today in the suburb known as Prien Lake.
