From Wikipedia: There is a large number of the Duhon and Granger family living in this suburb [Prien Lake]. They own a great portion of the land in this area and it is directly heired from Cyprien Duhon who settled here near the Lake and acquired a vast amount of land. His grandfather, Cyprien Duon (no 'h' at that time) was born in France and immigrated to Nova Scotia. Eventually, his grandson Cyprien Duhon then settled here in SWLA. The Duhon and Granger family has connections dating back to Cyprien's (the grandfather) days in France. The two families continue to occupy land today in the suburb known as Prien Lake.

Cyprien Duhon - Died at his residence, in this parish, on Monday, 25th, Cyprien Duhon, aged 78 years. The deceased was one of the oldest residents of Calcasieu and was noted for his integrity, politeness and hospitality. Peace to his ashes.
