Perry, 82, Anderson, passed away May 18, 2011, at Community Hospital, Anderson, after an extended illness.

She was born March 18, 1929, in Madison County, and resided in Madison County all of her life. Jean was a graduate of Pendleton High School.

She was a homemaker.

She had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary for more than 30 years.

Jean is survived by her children, Sarah K. Perry of Anderson, Robert L. Perry Jr. (Carole) of LaPorte, Texas, and George E. "Bud" Perry (Jeannie) of Anderson; one grandchild, Jaclyn Humphrey; stepgrandchildren, Eileen Lambert (Greg), Stacey Hoyle (Estee), Troy Hoyle (Emily), and Chris Hoyle; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Community Northview and Community Hospital, third floor, for their compassionate care.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Perry in 2006; parents, George and Sarah (Preston) McCarty; brother, William McCarty; and sister, Edna Sample.
