In addition the following information from the Moberly Monitor (page 9): John Samuel Scobee, 75, died at 7:45 o'clock this morning at the Woodland hospital in Moberly from injuries sustained when he fell at his home near here Monday night, breaking his hip. Mr. Scobee, a prominent farmer in the Pleasant Grove vicinity, had been an invalid for the last ten years. Mr. Scobee is survived by his wife, the former Miss Susie Roney, five children, Clarence Scobee of Hannibal, Ruby Scobee of Paris, Robert Scobee of St. Louis and Wilson Scobee and Miss Lena scobee of the home; and four brothers: A. W. Scobee, of Laddonia, Tom, Gam and Ely Scobee, all of the Pleasant Grove vicinity. Funeral services will be conducted at the Pleasant Grove church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Willard Reavis. Burial will be in the Scobee family cemetery near the church.
