Spokane - Visitation for Margret Berg-Gamache, will be Wednesday, May 14, 2003 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 4420 N. Jefferson; Reverend Larry Dunphy, OFM, celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley.
Margaret was born June 2, 1919 in Lewistown, Montana. After graduating from High School in Winnett, Montana, she moved to the Colville, Washington, area in 1937. She was married to Art Berg from 1941 until his death in 1989. She married Leonard Gamache in 1992. Margaret died of cancer on May 10, 2003. She was a resident of the Spokane area since 1945, and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She worked with Henle-Care Photographic Studio for many years. in recent years, Margret and Leonard enjoyed themselves as "snowbirds" in the Yuma, Arizona, area.
Survivors include her loving husband of 11 years, Leonard Gamache; sons, Jim Berg of Reno, Nevada, Bob Berg and wife Jeanne of Eugene, Oregon, step son Dennis Gamache and step daughter Debbie MacEachern of Spokane, brother Bill and Maxine Brown of Spokane, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2214, Spokane, WA 99210-2215.
