Marvin E. Snyder
Word has been received of the death of Marvin Snyder, 74, formerly of Piqua, which occurred at his home in Kaiserslautern, Germany Saturday, May 9.
Mr. Snyder was born Sept. 27, 1986 (should be 1896) in Piqua, a son of William and Mary Wolfe Snyder. After his graduation from Piqua High School, he served in World War I and later resided for many years in Waco, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Maria, a son, Marvin, Jr., Navy Chaplain stationed in Japan; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Sinclair, Waco, Texas; two brothers, Marling of Piqua and Willard of Palestine, Texas and three sisters, Mrs. Harry L. (Harriet) Hart, Greenville, Mrs. Ruth Blue, Cincinnati and Mrs. William D. (Esther) Baker of Piqua and seven grandchildren.
Burial will be in Kaiserslautern.
