Sally was born the 20th of October 1782 in the stockade of Barnett's Station in the territory of Kentucky the daughter of Martin Coleman sr (born in Germany "Kohlmann" and migrated to the colonies in 1759, a Revolutionary War veteran, and a farmer) and Mary Bird (born Pa) who married in Pa. Sally and Richard Weaver Hocker had ten children, all born in Ohio Co, Ky. Richard Weaver Hocker died the 14th of February 1821, but Sally never remarried, and raised the children herself. Sally [Coleman] Hocker died the 25th of November 1856 in Ohio Co, Ky.
