Miss Emma M. Fruehan, a well known resident of South Scranton, died this morning at the late home, 731 Hickory street, following a week's illness. The announcement of her sudden passing will be met by profound sorrow among her legion of friends throughout the valley. She was a devout member of the Hickory Street Presbyterian church and active in its various societies. She is survived by her father, George Fruehan, two sisters, Mrs. Fred W. Kirchoff and Mrs. Jule Hartman and two brothers, Dr. J. George Fruehan, well known dentist, and Herman H. The funeral will probably be held Monday afternoon with services at the home in charge of Rev. Theodore F. Hahn. Interment in the Pittston Avenue cemetery.
