My sweet Grandmother

My Gran had a sad life she often went
Without eating during WWII so she could feed
her husband & children she said my Grandfather
worked hard in the coal mines of England, she watched
as she & her children were running to the black out shelters as German airplanes fired on them pushing her children into the bushes to save them later her children
Were sent away to another country to save them from the Germans as it looked like they might invade England
They were gone for a year, she & my Grandfather were divorced but they never stopped loving each other they
let there stuborn pride stand in the way when my Grandfather pasted he asked for my Grandmother & she ran to his side my Grandmother lost her son in-law & watched her daughter fall apart only to lose her due to drinking herself to death later my Grandmother remarried only to be an abused wife this vile man beat my tiny Grandmother, but things got better she was able to get away from him with help from her other daughter things were looking up when she started having stomach pain doctors could find nothing so they decided to do surgery to find the cause when they opened her up they closed right away they could do nothing to help her she was full of canser she died a week later she tried so hard to hang on intill my mother could get to England she told the nurse to keep her alive intill her daughter came she died a half hour before my mother got there I miss you Gran & love you very much
