Marlene was always very savvy when it came to technology. She even had her own Facebook page and the following is what she wrote in her "About Me" section.

"Retired with BS in Nursing in 1996. Opened up my own nursing registry specializing in Psychiatric Nursing. Had the registry for ten years before I retired. When younger was very active in politics. Ran on the Democratic ticket for the state Senate. Lost to the person who is now the AZ State Governor. Was I surprised I did as well as I did. So I've had many different interests in my life. Lots of different educations. Have four children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren."

Memberships: DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution); The Democratic Party, Candidate for Arizona State Senate, 1992; Precinct Committee Member, District 19, 1992; American Nursing Association; The Health Care Agency; The Psychiatric Nurses Association; The National Nurses in Business Association; Association for Health Care Agencies 1984, BSN, Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Arizona State University; 1968, AAF, Associate in Applied Science in Nursing, Corning Community College; Marquis Who's Who in American Women, 1989 - 1990
