Vernon Manley Music, 94 died on July 16 in Sublimity.He was born in New Haven, Wyo and it was there that he received his education. He married Alice M. Stearns on April 15, 1925 in Ridge, Mont. They came from Montana in 1936 and settled in Scio. Mr. Music worked for the timber industry and farming most of his life. His hobbies included fishing and playing pinochle. Mrs. Music died in 1988. Survivors include three sons, Floyd of Davenport, Wash., Dean and Harold of Baker City, one daughter, Vera Noss of Hot Spring, Ark; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held on July 20 at Miller Cemetery in Scio.
