NEVA LOUISE EDWARDS, infant daughter of Darle and Mabel Edwards, was born in Des Moines, Iowa, June 16, 1946 and departed this life July 18, 1946 at the age of one month and two days at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Carl Halferty, at Chariton.
Funeral services were conducted at the Beardsley Funeral Chapel Saturday afternoon, July 20 at 2 pm; the Rev. J T Bloom, pastor of the Christian church, in charge. Burial services in Chariton cemetery.

Cause of death of this baby was a small hole in her heart, which they thought as she grew, it would heal, but it was not to be; she turned "blue" one day, and by the time the doctor was called, the baby was gone. They had to go to someone else's home in order to use the telephone to summon the doctor. Neva Louise Edwards is buried in the baby heart section of the Chariton Cemetery, on the right side.
