Berniece Halvorson rites at Palermo

Mrs. Lawrence (Berniece) Halvorson, 63, Palermo, died Friday, Jan. 7th. The funeral is today, Wednesday, January 12th at 2 p.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, Palermo. Burial is in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Palermo.

Berniece Burlog was born Aug. 4, 1919, at Upham. She graduated from Minot State College and also attended college at Missoula, Mt. She married Lawrence Halvorson June 15, 1947, at Upham. They made their home in Palermo Township where they farmed. She taught at Lunds Valley and Palermo.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the ladies aid. She taught Sunday school there and was a member of the Madagascar Mission. She was clerk of the Palermo School District for 20 years and was a member of ethe Mountrail County Cancer Society.

Her survivors include her husband sons, Carlyle and Richard, both Palermo daughter, Helen Grant, Blaisdell; four grandchildren; brothers, George, Grand Forks, and Luther, Upham; and sisters Alice Wold, Deerfield, Ill., and Harriet Burlog, Broderick, Calif.
