Susan Elizabeth "Lib" Bodiford Watford, 77, of Andrews, wife of Robert "Bob" Cleveland Watford, Sr., died May 19th, 2011 at MUSC in Charleston.
Mrs. Watford, a daughter of William Jasper Bodiford and Mary Elizabeth McGee Bodiford, was born June 6, 1933 in Kingstree, S.C. She attended Kingstree High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Andrews. Mrs. Watford was a strong, generous loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved to read, shop and cook. She was the co-owner and operator of Watford's Grocery from 1966-2009.
Surviving are her husband; six children, Robert C. (Cyndie) Watford, Jr., Mack Earl (Amy) Watford, Sr., Cheryl Watford Bass, Karen W. (Andy) Benford, Lisa W. (Andy) Blakely, S. Beth Watford; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a large extended family including Evelyn Bodiford and a number of nieces and nephew.
She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Siral Bodiford, James "Jimmy" Bodiford; six sisters, Frances Banis, Mildred Bodiford, Rachel Williams, Marie McKnight, Belle Richburg and Billie Thornhill.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 23rd, 2011 at Trinity Methodist Church. Burial, directed by McKenzie Funeral Home of Andrews, will follow in the Ivey Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Watford will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 at the Trinity United Methodist Church Life Center in Andrews.
