Veronica Weidenborner, 95, of Northome, MN, formerly of Shooks, MN, died on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Northome Health Care Center in Northome, Minnesota.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Kelliher with Rev. Raul Perez-Cobo officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church. Interment will be in the spring at the St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Shooks, Minnesota under the direction of Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck.

Active casketbearers will be Andrew Weidenborner, Blaise Weidenborner, Ben Weidenborner, Bruce Weidenborner, Tony Todavich, and Greg Todavich. Honorary casketbearers will be all of her great grandchildren

She was born on July 3, 1915 in Shooks, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry L. and Johanna (Tilch) Neft. She was raised on the family farm and was educated at the Shooks Country School. She resided in Shooks all her life.

She married Cyril Weidenborner on Feb. 15, 1938 at St. Jospehs Catholic Church in Shooks. They then farmed and she was a homemaker. She spent the last 3 years at the Northome Health Center. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and playing cards. She was an active member of the St. Josephs Christian Mothers Society, the Shooks Homemakers Club, and was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Kelliher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril, in November of 1983; her parents; 2 infant sons; a granddaughter, Vanessa Weidenborner; a infant grandson; a sister and brother in law, Louise (Morris) Frenzel; and 2 son in laws, Tony Todavich, Sr. and Ron Larson.
