Raymond Wesley Housden, 91, of Florida, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in Fort Myers, Fla.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1916, in Stanley and was a son of the late James B. and Virginia C. Housden.
Mr. Housden retired in 1978 from J&L Steel Co.in Aliquippa, Pa., as a department manager, at which time he moved to the Rotunda in West Florida.
On Dec. 24, 1939, he married the former Hazel McDaniel, who died on July 19, 2007.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Gushiken of Marshall, Mich.; a son, Ray W. Housden of Albemarle, N. C.; a sister, Ethel Painter of Stanley; a stepsister, Rena Baker of Anchorage, Alaska; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
