Lydia married Dr Hiram J Holbrook, in DeKalb County, Indiana, on December 6, 1869. They farmed in DeKalb county, Indiana while building his dental practice. They later moved to Newark, Ohio, where he practised Dentistry exclusively. Lydia and Hiram had two children, one of whom died in infancy, and a daughter, Mable, with whom Lydia spent her final days in Columbus, Ohio.
