1971 - Henry Helzer of Mount Clemens Michigan passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac on Sunday at the age of 61 years. Born in Norka Saratov Russia Feb 25, 1910 he was the son of Conrad and Katie Fink Helzer. The family came to Mount Clemens when he was a young boy. He served in the United States Army during World War II and on April 8, 1944 was united in marriage with Elizabeth Henry. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Clemens, Mr. Helzer was employed by the Consumers Power Company until 1953

Surviving beside his wife, Elizabeth are five children, Sandra Kay, Ronald Henry Helzer, Judith Ann, Michael L. and Jeffery S. Also surviving three sisters. Mrs. Emma DeWees, Mrs.Elizabeth Roberts, and Mrs. Catherine Helzer of Mount Clemens, five brothers, George, John, William Charles, Peter, and Jacob Helzer also of Mount Clemens. Funeral services were held from Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home with burial in Clinton Grove Cemetery.
