Who Poured Oil On Fire
Minot, N.D., Feb. 7.- Mr. and Mrs. Walter Humes and Miss Gladys Reed, all of Sawyer, are in a local hospital here suffering from Burns received when Mrs. Humes attempted to start a fire by pouring kerosene oil on live coals.
The flames shot from the stove and caught the women's clothing. Her husband and Miss Reed rushed to her assistance and were both severely burned. Physicians said there is little hope for Mrs. Humes' recovery. Mrs. Humes and Miss Reed were burned about the face and hands.
