He was married to Elizabeth Ostrander who was born about 1773. John-Johannes Sharp-Scherp, Sr. was born about 1764 - 1765. They possibly had children Jacob (James), John, Jr., Susan, and Philip who may have married Mary A. Williams. Both John, Sr. and his wife Elizabeth lived to be 80 years old according to the tombstone inscriptions as recorded by Janet Wethy Foley in Early Settlers of New York State. There were likely other children, but I have no idea who they were.
