Calvin James passed away on May 15, 2011 at the age of 73. He was born on November 12, 1937.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia McWhirter, his parents Ava and LG McWhirter, a sister Betty Miller and one brother J.B. McWhirter.
Calvin worked at Edlin's Auction for 27 years. He was a faithful member of Mayfield Baptist Church. He touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with.
He is survived by three daughters: Judy Renia Sanborn of Hudson Falls, New York, Venise Tiann Millett of South Glens Falls, New York. And Tamra Treece Lopez of Odessa, Texas, and two sons: Roy John Knesek of Vancouver, Washington, and William Wesley Hafer of Winnie, Texas, four sisters: Peggy Stanford, Colleen Briley, Loretta Johnston and Louise Chilton. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Mayfield Baptist Church 1106 Mayfield Dr. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Joint burial of Calvin and Patricia to follow at Banquete Cemetery off of Co. Rd. 44 and 87 A.
