Nancy D. Collins age 59 passed away.
Nancy is survived by her father and Step Mother
Newell and Peggy Collins of South Bend. Also she survived by two brothers, Donald and Sandy Collins, and Richard and Yolanda Collins both of South Bend, and a sister, Peggy and Roger Leonhard also of South Bend. Also several Nieces and Nephews. Also a life long Friend, Betty Hawn of South Bend, IN.
Nancy was a very special Lady, she loved life and loved everyone. Over the years Nancy's health issues took a toll on her, but it never got her down.
She worked at St. Vincent de Paul for 20 years before retiring.
Nancy was preceded in death by her Mother (Martha Helen Rockwell Collins) in 1986, a niece, Melissa J. Collins in 2000 and a nephew, Timothy Collins in 1990.
Nancy graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School. She served as a board member of Southmore Mutual Housing Corporation, Partnership Center of River Park, and the River Park Neighborhood Association. She completed courses at the Citizen Police Academy and was a V.I.P with the South Bend Police Department.
Palmer's Funeral Home are in charge of arangements. Cremation will take place. Interment will be at South Lawn Cemetery. Paster Greg Crump will officiate.
