Amelia M. DeSantis was born in 1891 in Itri, Italy, the daughter of Francesco and Filomena Machina DeSantis. Itri is on the famed ancient highway, the Appian Way. Both of her parents were born and died in Italy. Amelia came to Stoughton around 1913.
