JOHN FEST DIES HERE ON TUESDAY
Former Business Man Taken by Death at Home
RITES FRIDAY
John Fest, long time resident of Guttenberg and at one time a Guttenberg business man, died at his home here Tuesday evening about six o'clock. His death was due to a heart ailment. Mr. Fest was 79 years old.
Services Friday
Funeral services will be held Friday morning from the home to St. Mary's church at 9:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. J. A. Dupont. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery in charge of the Steger funeral service.
Mr. Fest was born October 29, 1867, at Cassville, Wisconsin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fest, Sr. On June 17, 1902, he married Anna Schaefers at Guttenberg. They were the parents of three children.
Family Survives
Surviving Mr. Fest in addition to his wife, is one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Hartman, of Guttenberg. Also surviving are two grandchildren, two brothers, Charles of Livingston, Wisconsin, and Matt of Heron Lake, Minnesota, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Ratterman of Dubuque, and Miss Frieda Fest of Cassville.
Mr. Fest was preceded in death by two sons.
