Mr. Robert J. Harris, Jr. was born in Saxton, Missouri, July 13, 1946 to Robert Harris and Lillie Mae Perkins. He passed this life at his home Friday, May 6, 2011, at the age of sixty-four. He was preceded in death by stepmother, Jessie M. Harris and sister, Debra Hughes. Robert confessed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education through the Toledo Public School System, attending Hamilton Elementary and graduated from Woodward High School. He attended the University of Cincinnati. Robert served his military career of active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps for thirty years, receiving and honorable discharge. He received numerous medals and achievement awards of service to the nation and his command. His passion was bowling and shooting pool. Robert also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Robert J. Harris Jr. leaves to mourn his passing his wife of fifteen years, Rosie L. Harris; father, Robert Harris, Sr.; stepmother, Anita Harris; mother, Lillie Mae Wilbourne; stepfather, Louis Wilbourn; mother-in-law, Dorothy M. McCoy; sons, Robert J. Harris, III of Flint, MI and stepson, Shawn McCoy of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Robin M. Miller of Al, Tiffany Reeding of Detroit, MI and Shelby (Eric) Thomas of Washington, D.C.; brother, Willie Harris of Riverside, GA; sisters, Tanya Dunn and Renee Whiley of Flint, MI, Beverly (Wayne) McKeller, Sonya Cruse and Anissa Grimes; grandchildren, Brandon and Breon Miller, Layla and Breon Harris and Barilee and Charlie Thomas, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and many, many kind friends.
