(CHESTER ST. AMANT DIES; RITES TODAY - Chester P. St. Amant, 60, of 538
Brice St., died yesterday at 10:30 AM at the Touro infirmary in New
Orleans after a brief illness. St. Amant was a lifelong resident of this
city, where he had been employed at Esso Standard Oil Co. for 30 years.
He was a member of the Ingleside Methodist Church. Survivors include two
sons: Parker H. of Baton Rouge and Dr. Chester P. of Atmore, Alabama; one
brother, Alfred D. of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Odille McQuillan, of
Long Beach, California, and two grandchildren. Mrs. St. Amant died last
September. The funeral will be held at Welsh Funeral home at 2:30 p.m.
today. Burial will take place in the Roselawn Memorial Park.)
