Lewis Wadie Bumbrey, 73 of Manassas, VA died on May 12, 2011 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas.
He was born on march 13, 1938 in Stafford County, VA a son of the late Lewis M. Bumbrey and Rosie Bell Lee Bumbrey.
Mr. Bumbrey worked as a loader operator as well as several other occupations over the years.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Bumbrey; his children- Deloris Yates, Ray Bumbrey and Lucy Bumbrey all of Warrenton; Betty Bumbrey, Bealeton, Billy Gibson, Warrenton and Reggie Washington, Stafford, VA; three stepchildren- Calvin Boxley, Manassas, Wanda and Trina Boxley both of Fredericksburg, VA and Janiza Boxley of Manassas; two sisters- Jeanette Gibson, Spotsylvania, VA and Paul Coleman of Falls Church, VA; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday , May 20 one hour prior to the funeral service which begins at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 33 S. Third St., Warrenton, VA. Rev. Moyer Foddrell will officiate. Interment at the Bumbrey/Lee Family Cemetery, Stafford County, VA.
