BOONEVILLE - Josephine Isabelle “Belle” Fugitt, 95, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Nov. 5, 1903, to Bill and Mary Denson Johnson. She was a retired homemaker and a member of the Methodist church. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Salts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C.D. Edge officiating. Burial will be in the Siloam Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Vera Gandy of Bremerton, Wash.; two sons, Boyce McCalmon of Campbell, Mo., and Olen McCalmon of Stanwood, Wash.; 33 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Hughes, and two sons, William McCalmon and Thomas McCalmon Jr.
