SCHWARTZENTRUBER, Elmina It is with a measure of both sadness at her passing and joy of a life well lived that we, her family, announce that Elmina Schwartzentruber passed away peacefully at the Maples Home for Seniors in Tavistock, on Saturday, May 14, 2011, in her 90th year. She was born in East Zorra Township, Oxford County on September 13, 1921, a daughter of the late Joel and Catherine (Bender) Albrecht. She married Clayton Schwartzentruber in East Zorra Township on December 1, 1940. He predeceased her on May 8, 1987. Elmina will be deeply missed by her three children, Calvin and wife Beulah Schwartzentruber of Tavistock, Willard and wife Lissa Schwartzentruber of R.R.#6, Woodstock; Mary and husband Barry Kropf of R.R.#1, Shakespeare; her seven grandchildren, Tammy and husband Jim Szanto, Alison and husband Paul Mitchell, Andrew and wife Kathy Schwartzentruber, Daniel and wife Andreé Schwartzentruber, Joy Schwartzentruber, Leanne and husband John Clark, Kevin and wife Sharon Kropf; her eleven great-grandchildren; her brother and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Annie Mae Albrecht and Ruth Albrecht. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Carol Schwartzentruber; her grandson Jeremy Burchatzki; her sister and brother-in-law Lucille and Alvin Roth and her brother Lester Albrecht. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Tavistock Mennonite Church on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Paul Adams will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th Line. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Bible Society or Gideons International in Canada would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 519-655-2431.
