Funeral services for Peggy J. Stoltenberg, 49, of Walcott, IA will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary. Mrs. Stoltenberg passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA.
Peggy June Strohbehn was born in Davenport, IA on August 28, 1961, the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Wilford) Strohbehn. On May 1, 1993, she married Ned E. Stoltenberg in Long Grove, IA. She worked as a beautician for various salons in the Quad Cities, including Venture, J.C.Penney, and Regis. Most recently she worked for the Davenport School District. Mrs. Stoltenberg enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, sewing, and most importantly going to her son's soccer games. She attended the Women's Bible Study group in Walcott.
She is survived by her Husband: Ned Stoltenberg of Walcott, IA; her Son: Benjamin Stoltenberg of Walcott; her Mother: Margaret Strohbehn of Donahue, IA; two Sisters: Nancy (Brian) Glover of Donahue, IA, Mary Strohbehn of Arizona; two Brothers: Bob (Cindy) Strohbehn of Davenport, IA, Don (June) Strohbehn of Walcott, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Strohbehn.
