Hardin Wesley Walk was the eldest of eleven known children of Birril Walk (1832-1914) and Eliza Jane Roland Walk (1842-1888), who married 03 Jan 1861 at Pike County, Illinois and lived the remainder of their lives there.

Hardin married Nancy Bell Ross (1864-1951) on 13 Aug 1884 at Scott County, Illinois. Hardin was a farmer in Scott County, Illinois. Hardin and Nancy were the parents of six known children, namely:

1. Beulah May Walk (1886-1958)
2. Roy Austin Walk (1887-1892)
3. Laura Anna Walk Day (1892-1983)
4. Arthur Allan Walk (1893-1962)
5. Beatrice Marie Walk (1897-1980)
6. Nina Walk (1899-1899)
