Lizzy was the daughter of James D. and Sarah Mink Tennyson. She was 86 years old at the time of her passing. She was the wife of Billy Turner. They were married on December 21, 1927, in Cumberland Gap, TN. Billy died in 1947. Lizzy moved to Monroe, Mi. in 1959. She was a member of the Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Ky. She was survived by two sons, J.C. and Lavern; three daughters, Mrs. Junior (Helen) Treece, Mrs. Ottie (Betty) Treece, Mrs. Richard (Mildred) Grassley; one brother Roy Tennyson; two sisters, Cora Irwin and Cornie Tennyson; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by a son, Doyle; two sisters, and four brothers.
