Island-Anna Faye Vandiver, 73, of Island died Tuesday September 19, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Anna Faye Hocker was born June 17, 1933, in Ohio County and was married to Bobby Gene Vandiver on July 2, 1949. She was a homemaker and a member of the Island United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Gene Vandiver on September 1, 1994; a daughter, Linda Bailey on June 13, 1995; her mother, Irene Neal Tichenor in 2001 and a sister, Shelia Hocker Beyke, in 2003.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Joe and Kathleen Vandiver of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Tony and Susan Vandiver of Island; a daughter and her husband, Debbie and Ben Dunn of Calhoun; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; her stepmother, Eloise Hicks of Owensboro; five brothers, Terry Tichenor of Daytona Beach, Vernon Tichenor of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Danny Hocker, David Hocker and Keith Hocker, all of Owensboro; and two sisters; Tammy London and Kelly Baugh, both of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel, with the Rev. Harry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with the Vandiver family from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
