MISC: She was the widow of a Confederate soldier by the name of Kelley. She fled as a refugee from Monticello, MO, to AL. She was the daughter of Christopher and Emily (Johnson) Quinn, her father being a native of County Down, Ireland, and her mother was from Ohio. The parents lived in Planesville, OH. Information from Fritz McDuffie (Jean Grube D63 and B30).

MISC: Data from Fritz McDuffie (McD 313 has his biography). He was a probate judge and active in Republican politics and the Alabama legislature. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and of the SAR. Jean Grube D63 gives biographical information. He was a major in the Civil War and afterwards married Mrs Martha Alice (Quinn) Kelley, widow of a Confederate soldier. He settled in Haynesville, AL, where he became Probate Judge for Lowndes County. Burial information from LaRoy Olson of Aurora, Colorado.
