Almira Edna Lohnes, 85, Riverport, died October 23, 1998, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Bayport, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Edna (Colp) Conrad. She was a member of Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, where she was a choir member and also a member of the United Church Women. She was past noble grand of Riverview Rebekah Lodge 56, Riverport, and a member of the Riverside Senior Citizens Club. Surviving are sons, Eugene and wife Wendy, Fredericton; Richard and wife Janet, Terrace Bay, Ontario; daughter, Jeanette (Mrs. Neil Siemens), Terrace, B.C.; brothers, Perry, Lunenburg; Everett, Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg; sister, Marion Conrad, Halifax; grandchildren, Heather and Jennifer Lohnes; Vincent, Corwin, and Allison Siemens; Gina Lohnes; a great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Leigh Lohnes. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, from where visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be held 3 p.m. Monday in Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, Rev. Vivian Moores officiating. Interment will be in Shepherd's Hill Cemetery, Riverport. In lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity.
