(Gary) Swinford of Redmond, Wash.; a brother, Warren Smith of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Edith Dell (Kenneth) Turner of Logansville, Ruth (Richard) Beard of Huntsville and Wanda Schmidt of DeGraff; and sisters-in-law, June Mulcahy of Lima and Yvonne Smith of DeGraff.
A retired U.S. Postal Service clerk and 30-year poll worker, she was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lakeview, where she sang in the choir and was director, played piano and was active in many women's groups. A 25-year member of the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild, she also served on the Farm Bureau and the Weekly Religious Education Board.
Pastor Rob Kilgore conducts a funeral at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Myron Van Horn Chapel of Smith-Eichholtz Funeral Home, Lakeview, where calling is one hour prior. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Cancer Society.
