Gladys Eva Parker was born near Hastings, Iowa, Feb. 25, 1900, and died in the Mercy hospital in Council Bluffs May 14, 1929, at the age of twenty-nine years, three months, nnd three days, after a five days illness of pneumonia.
She was united in marriage to Henry Earnest Roedell Feb. 26, 1918. To this union were born six children—Adeline Mae, Clarence Edwin, Henry Earnest, Jr., Betty Jean, Robert LeRoy, and Patricia June.
She lived most of her life in and around Hastings, moving to Council Bluffs in the spring of 1924. She united with the Methodlst church at Hastings when about sixteen years of age.
After short funeral services at their home In Council Bluffs she was brought to Hastings where funeral services were held in the Methodist church. Rev. M. A. Gable of Council Bluffs preached the funeral sermon assisted by Rev.
L. M. Klrby, the pastor at Hastings. She was laid to rest in the Hastings cemetery. The pall bearers were six uncles Ralph Parker, Cliff Plumb, Osmer Parker, Harry Mitchell,
Frank Mitchell, nnd Harry Piburn.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, six children, father, mother, nnd seven sisters nnd five, brothers, besides a great number of other relatives and a host of
friends. The sisters and brothers are follows: Mrs. Dale Edie, Mrs. Weeran Bowen of Hastings, Mrs. C. L. Waldelich and Mrs. Lloyd Brown of Omaha, Mrs. Clarence Roedell, Council Bluffs, Mrs. Will Roedell, Quintan, Oklahoma, Alton Parker of Council Bluffs, and Dorothy, Harry Lynn, Galen, Raymond, and Teddy Parker of Bmerson. .
She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by all
who knew her.
