According to handwritten inscriptions on the family Bible kept by Lucy Chartier in Redford, Clinton County, New York, USA, Victoria Margaret Carter was born Marguerite Victoire Chartier, "Vicki." Her name was later changed and shows up on official Vermont State documents and records as Victoria Margaret Carter.
