BLANCHARD FUNERAL

Services Held Yesterday for
Williamstown Man

Funeral Services for John Willard Blanchard of Williamstown, who died Friday evening at the Barre City Hospital, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Whitcomb funeral home on Washington street. The Rev. Eldon H. Martin officiated.
The funeral was largely attended by friends and relatives of the deceased and the floral tribute was large and beautiful.
Bearers were Roland Tucker, Merton Morey, Austin Slayton, John Stone and Waterman Ormsby, all sons-in-law of the deceased, and Ralph Blanchard, a nephew.
Entombment was made in the Elmwood vault to await burial in the spring in the Williamstown cemetery.
Among those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Merton Morey, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Slayton of Hartford, Conn.; Mr. and Mrs. Waterman Ormsby of Keeseville, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. John Stone of Greenfield, Mass.; Mrs. Deva Mancini and son, Angelo, of South Barre; Fred Blanchard and son of Waterbury; Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Foster of Winchendon, Mass.; Mr. and Mr. Gilbert Rodney of Somersworth, Mass.; George Bushey of Claremont, N. H.; Dean and Joyce Blanchard of Williamstown; and many friends from surrounding towns. Due to an automobile accident in New Hampshire while enroute, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Cantara of Calais, Me., were unable to attend. Mrs. Cantara is a granddaughter of the deceased.
