Obituary:
James W. Wise died at his home near Kingston, March 28, 1932 at the age of 88 years and 28 days.
He was married to Lue Viney Fawver on March 8th 1868. To this union were born 9 children, 6 boys and 3 girls. His wife and 2 daughters preceded him to the grave several years ago.
He leaves to mourn his loss, 7 chil-dren, P. A. Wise and G. W. Wise of Clinton, J. W. Wise, of Strawberry Plains; F. M. Wise, of Alabama; A. L. Wise, of Washing-ton, W. W. Wise, of near King-ston, Mrs. J. W. Abbott, of near Kingston and one brother, C. W. Wise of Alabama City. A host of
grandchildren and great grand-children.
He was a Civil war veteran. He also professed faith in Christ in early youth and joined the Methodist church, after moving to this county he joined the Baptist church at Cedar Grove and lived a devoted member up to his death. We have lost a good citizen, the church, a faithful member, his home, a loving father but our lost is Heaven's gain, he had fought a good fight, kept the faith and the Lord called him and he had to go.
