Clare P. Beitel, 58, of Springdale died Monday in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Sept 8, 1920, at Oskaloosa, Iowa, he was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and an employee of General Securities.
He was a member of the American Legion and an Army veteran of World War II. He moved to Springdale in 1970 from Pineville, MO.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Verda (Granny) Hayes Beitel of the home, one son, Herbert T. Beitel of Springdale, and a half brother, Junior White of Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral will be at 2pm Thursday at Sisco Chapel with burial in Friendship Cemetery.
