Milton V. Gaffney, 69, of Chicago, formerly of Springfield, died at the home of a daughter at Independence, Mo.
Mr. Gaffney had retired four years ago as manager of Wilson and Co., Chicago. He was manager of Cudahy Packing Co. at Springfield.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; three daughters, Mrs. Clyde B. Brown, Independence, Mo.; Mrs. Charles J. Carmody, West Point, Conn.; Mrs. Donald Geist, Oklahoma City; two sons, Milton Jr., Beverly Hills, Calif.; Lawrence, Belle View, Wash.; and 15 grandchildren. His parents, Dr. and Mrs. E.C. Gaffney of Springfield, and four brothers preceded him in death.
